This book, A Boy from Bahrain, is an English translation of a chapter in my Arabic book, Colored Papers.

I thought this book might be an interesting way for English readers to learn about the typical life of a young boy in Bahrain during the years 1930-1950.

Taqi M. Albaharna was born in 1930. He is a poet, journalist, and writer. He wrote and published so far ten books, all in Arabic. He was the first Ambassador for Bahrain in Egypt from 1971–1974.

Member of consultative SHURA council, he received five medals of honor.
